RSVP for East Portland Multicultural Center Design Presentation tomorrow

May 30, 2013 Events No Comments

epap_logoStudents from PSU’s School of Architecture will be holding a schematic design presentation for an East Portland Multicultural Center. They will present initial design schemes, based on impressive research addressing: programming, cultural center precedents internationally, vernacular precedents, community identified goals, and potential East Portland properties/sites. These documents are available for review at the East Portland Neighborhood Office, 1017 NE 117th.

Students have done a lot of work and are eager to have feedback, since they will continue developing these designs in the Fall term and want the final product to be of use to the East Portland community in our quest to bring a Multicultural Center into being.

Friday, May 31
1:30 – 4:00pm (poster session, like an Open House, come as you can)
Portland State University, Shattuck Hall, Third Floor
(Shattuck Hall is a red brick building located on SW South Park Blocks in between SW Hall and SW College Streets; a short walk from TriMet stops: PSU Urban Center & PSU South or the street car stops on South Park Blocks & Mill or Market)

Please RSVP if you can attend: B.D. Wortham-Galvin, Ph.D., School of Architecture: b.d.worthamgalvin@pdx.edu or ph.503.725.2337
