These documents are available for review at the East Portland Neighborhood Office, 1017 NE 117th.

Students have done a lot of work and are eager to have feedback, since they will continue developing these designs in the Fall term and want the final product to be of use to the East Portland community in our quest to bring a Multicultural Center into being.

Solo Exhibit by Chelsea Stephen: Sticks and Stones (@ good:a gallery)

February 9, 2013 Events Comments Off on Solo Exhibit by Chelsea Stephen: Sticks and Stones (@ good:a gallery)

In her first solo art show since moving to Portland over a year ago, Chelsea Stephen will be unveiling her latest lyrical illustrations thru the month of February. Chelsea’s work is as varied as it is enchanting, employing different techniques to visually communicate the whimsy that motivates her image making. Perhaps most intriguing is her 10-piece illustrative series of an adventuresome anthropomorphic tree and his affable squirrel companion. Incorporating her fancy for installation art, Chelsea’s work is displayed with careful design, suspending wood-mounted prints from delicate moss covered sticks, lending an organic feel that further breaths life into the gallery.
The show will officially open Saturday February 2nd at noon and run thru the month during weekend hours. An artist reception will be held on the SECOND Friday, February 8th from 7 to 10pm. So pull up your winter roots and wander over to good:a gallery to treat your eyes and tickle your heart.

For more information, visit good:a gallery’s facebook page.
